I love graphic novels especially superhero graphic novels and this one did not disappoint me at all. It follows Mera the princess of the Xebel Kingdom, which are trying to gain back their full freedom from the Atlantians. Mera finds a chance to do that when she overhears that their is a prince on land who holds their fate and she sets out to kill him.
This novel was very fast paced and easy to read. I enjoyed the beautiful graphics and the colors in the novel. I liked the development of Mera in the story since it is in her perspective we see more of her growth. Everyone else seemed to develop a little quicker than usual and sometimes in an annoying way. Some of the characters we a little cheesy for me and a little childish but this is a young adult graphic novel so I definitely understand. I enjoyed it for what it was and if there is more in this story I would love to read it. I deffinitely recommend it if you want more of a light hearted hero comic book. Unlike the dark DC comics. This would be a great read for those starting to get into comics and graphic novels.
